Lahore: Wednesday, 10 September 2025 – Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) in collaboration with the Women Development Department, Punjab, distributed hygiene kits to women from flood-affected suburbs near Babu Sabu area near Bund Road, Lahore.

Ms. Saadia Temur, Focal Person to the Chief Minister Punjab and Parliamentary Secretary for the Women Development Department, highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting flood-affected communities. She assured the women that the government is taking all necessary measures to protect their well-being and dignity during times of crisis.

Ms. Sameena Nazir, Executive Director (PODA) addressed the women and spoke about the importance of menstrual hygiene, especially during emergencies. “Usually, people come to distribute rations or other general relief items, but not the materials that women specifically need during menstruation,” remarked one of the recipients.
