PODA-Pakistan is a women’s rights NGO working on the implementation of SDG 4 (Quality Education) in the following ways:

– Promoting the Right to Education for All Children in Pakistan including children with disabilities, street children & refugee children

– Educating parents about their duty to send all sons and daughters to schools without gender or age discrimination

– Educating employers not to hire children under age 16 and support initiatives to send Out of School children to schools

– Working with schools to give Out of Schoolchildren a Second Chance to integrate and resume education

– Creating awareness in the society about the disadvantages of denying children the right to education

– Creating awareness about population control in Pakistan and the need to make more schools for existing and future children

– Creating awareness about the negative consequences of excluding girls from education and the problems of early marriages

– Working with school staff and teachers to create awareness about preventing corporal punishment and sexual abuse of children

– Building the capacity of rural women to become Early Childhood Education teachers in local villages and learn about children’s rights
