Voter Awareness Session for Women at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi

Thursday, 29th May 2025, PODA Pakistan, in collaboration with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), successfully conducted a Voter Awareness Session for Women at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, under its Democracy Education Program. The session was attended by over 30 participants, including students, members of sociology department and ECP representatives. The objective of the session was to raise awareness about the importance of voting, the procedures for voter registration and the vital role women play in strengthening democratic processes.

The session highlighted the significance of women’s participation in elections, registration, and the casting of votes procedure, and urged them to check and register their votes and choose candidates who work for public interest and development. Women were encouraged to recognize the power of their vote and be active citizens, shaping Pakistan’s future.
