PODA Pakistan Empowers Civic Community Leaders With Climate Resilience Skills
A Group of 22 Senior Civic and Community Activists from SAP-PK Offices, Learnt Newest Methods of Climate Adaptation and Mitigation at a Four Day Training Organized by Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA). The Training Titled “Climate Resilience, Conservation, and Ecology was Held In Islamabad from 22 To 25 December 2025.
12 Females and 10 Male Senior Civic and Community Activists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh Enhanced their Capacities In:
• Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Gender-Responsive Climate Action and Community Protection
• Climate-Smart Agriculture, Water Management, and Renewable Energy
• Community-Based Adaptation and Resilience Planning
The Program Included a Practical Exposure Visit to NARC Islamabad and PODA Field Sites In Chakwal, Where Participants Observed Climate-Smart Irrigation, Renewable-Energy Applications, Organic Farming Models, and Women-Led Livelihood Initiatives.
The Initiative Supported Participants in Developing Community Climate Resilience Action Plans and Strengthened their Roles as Local Climate Advocates and Resource Leaders. PODA Remains Committed to Advancing Inclusive, Equitable, and Climate-Resilient Communities Across Pakistan, Ensuring the Meaningful Participation of Women, Youth, and Marginalised Groups in Climate Action.
