On 12 March 2026, to mark International Women’s Day (8 March), PODA Pakistan successfully conducted a Capacity Building Workshop on Digital Safety for Legal Identity Documents at The Aspire School, Talagang District, in collaboration with NADRA and the Social Welfare Society.
The workshop was organized under the project “Promoting Civic Leadership and Participation,” supported by NED, and aimed at strengthening awareness of democratic values, non-violence, and women’s rights. A total of 25 participants, including 21 young rural women and 4 male participants, attended the session.
Guest speakers from NADRA, including Mr. Ahmad Aftab Jilani, Assistant Director, and Ms. Rida Shokat, Deputy Assistant Director, & Ms. Bushra from NADRA Talagang. They introduced participants to digital safety practices for protecting legal identity documents and demonstrated the use of the NADRA PAK-ID App, explaining how individuals can securely access and manage their identity documents through the application.
The session focused on building the digital capacity of young women by equipping them with practical tools and knowledge to safely manage and protect their identity information in the digital space.
