On Friday, 14 August 2026, Sameena Nazir, Executive Director PODA Pakistan with PODA volunteers, distributed Seed Balls of Jaman, Curry Patta and Mango trees to children and women at the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Gala in G-11. Team PODA explained the importance of planting trees to protect Pakistan’s environment. PODA also distributed handmade crochet flags and crafts to highlight the importance of skill learning and income generation by women to become economically independent. PODA thanked Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry for organising a successful event and appreciated the leadership of Mrs. Samina Fazil and her team for providing opportunity to more than 80 women entrepreneurs to showcase their products directly, avoiding middlemen.
