June 2026- In collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment, in Peshawar (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) successfully conducted a Digital Safety Workshop on “Protecting Legal and Digital Identity”.
The workshop brought together government officials, social welfare professionals, civil society representatives, and community members to strengthen awareness of legal and digital identity, online safety, cybersecurity, privacy protection, and responsible digital citizenship.
Through interactive sessions, participants gained practical knowledge on protecting their digital identity, creating strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, recognizing phishing attempts, practicing safe social media use, safeguarding personal information, and responding effectively to cyber threats and online harassment. Participants also developed Personal Digital Safety Action Plans to enhance their online security and resilience.
The workshop reinforced the importance of digital safety as a foundation for active, informed, and responsible civic participation. By equipping participants with practical tools and knowledge, the initiative contributed to building safer digital spaces and promoting inclusive civic engagement. This workshop was supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) project, “Promoting Civic Leadership and Participation.”
