PODA facilitated youth leader Mr. Hamza Bashir to successfully complete a 4-week Capacity Building & Training Course (C2DM 01-26) on Climate Change and Disaster Management at the Centre of Excellence of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Islamabad. The training strengthened expertise in climate risk governance, disaster risk reduction, early warning systems, and risk-informed development, with a focus on inclusive approaches for vulnerable communities.
During the training, he contributed insights on water scarcity, sustainable resource management, and the disproportionate impacts of climate change and disasters on women, youth, and marginalized communities, highlighting practical approaches from the community to the national level. This training will be replicated by PODA for rural youth to increase the circle of knowledge to strengthen resilience.
