Expert Session by Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed on Understanding Climate Resilience:

We were honoured to host Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, a distinguished academic and HEC-approved PhD Supervisor from PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, as a keynote resource person on 22 December 2025, during the Training on Climate Resilience, Conservation, and Ecology, organised by PODA Pakistan in collaboration with #SAPPakistan to senior civic and community activists.

Dr. Mukhtar delivered an insightful session on Understanding Climate Resilience, offering a comprehensive overview of climate risks, vulnerabilities, and the importance of resilience in fragile contexts. He highlighted the use of crop modelling, agro-ecosystem simulations, and data-driven approaches to measure climate needs, assess exposure, and design adaptive strategies. Through evidence-based perspectives and practical case insights, he emphasized the critical role of anticipatory action, inclusive resilience planning, and knowledge-driven climate governance.
