On 10 December, PODA Pakistan organized an awareness session on the importance of legal identity as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign under the Rural Women’s Network for Civic Leadership and Participation Project, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The activity was conducted at the Sahita Institute, Naushahro Feroze, Sindh.

The session was led by PODA Rural Women Leader Ms. Kousar Bibi with the participation of 26 students. She explained the vital role of the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) in a girl’s life, emphasizing that it is essential for accessing education, opening bank accounts, voting, and availing government services and welfare schemes. The session aimed to empower young girls by increasing their awareness about their rights and the importance of legal identity for active participation in society.
