On 19 September 2025, PODA organized a Political Rights Awareness Session and Mock Polling at the Government Girls High School, Qasimabad, Hyderabad, Sindh, under the Rural Women’s Network for Civic Leadership and Participation Project, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), in collaboration with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The session was led Ms. Kashmala Rajper, PODA Rural Women Leader, and attended by 60 participants, including female students, teachers, and ECP staff. She highlighted the importance of women knowing their political rights and exercising their right to vote.
District Election Commission of Pakistan officers, including Mr. Waheed Feroz and Mr Kashif Elahi, who facilitated the session and guided participants through the voting process. Using an official ballot box, students experienced for the first time a practical demonstration of casting votes, learning the importance of fair and transparent electoral practices.
