On 20 September 2025, PODA conducted a Political Rights Awareness Session and Mock Polling for women and youth in Larkana, Sindh. The activity was part of the Rural Women’s Network for Civic Leadership and Participation Project, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), and aligned with International Democracy Day and World Identity Day.

The aim was to promote civic engagement among women and youth by providing them with practical training on the voting process. The session was facilitated by Ms. Saira Noor, a PODA Rural Woman Leader, dedicated civic educator, and community leader.

A total of 50 participants took part in the activity. With the support of the District Election Commissioner, an official ballot box was provided, giving rural women a real-life voting experience. Ms. Saira explained the voting process step by step and emphasized the importance of having a valid CNIC, which is essential for voting, education, bank accounts, and accessing government services.
