PODA team visited flood-affected areas of District Buner, including Pir Baba and Beshonai village, to provide essential support to affected communities. Hygiene kits, clothing, and other necessary items were distributed, with a particular focus on assisting women during this challenging time. The team also provided guidance to community members, especially women, on the process of reapplying for critical documents such as CNICs, B-Forms, educational certificates, and property papers that may have been lost or damaged in the floods.
In collaboration with the Assistant Commissioner (AC) of District Buner, the PODA team conducted a visit to Beshonai, the most severely impacted village. During this visit, PODA handed over Child-Friendly Space and Women-Friendly Space tents to the Assistant Commissioner for installation within the AC office compound. These spaces are designed to offer a safe and supportive environment where women can comfortably voice their concerns, and children can engage in play and learning activities. PODA also equipped these spaces with toys, books, hygiene kits, and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials to further support the recovery and well-being of flood-affected families.
