16 September 2025: PODA conducted Mock Polling Sessions for women and youth at Paras Public School, Jacobabad, Sindh. The activity was part of the Rural Women’s Network for Civic Leadership and Participation Project, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), and aligned with International Democracy Day and World Identity Day. The aim was to promote civic engagement among women and youth by giving them practical training on the voting process.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Nousheen Sajjad, PODA Rural Woman Leader, a dedicated civic educator and community leader. A total of 52 participants took part in the activity, including 28 young female students and 24 young boys with the support of the District Election Commissioner, an official ballot box and polling booth were provided, giving students a real-life voting experience. Ms. Sajjad explained the voting process step by step and highlighted the importance of having a valid CNIC, which is needed for voting, education, bank accounts, and government services.
