PODA Pakistan celebrated International Youth Day (12 August) and Pakistan Independence Day (14 August) with special awareness sessions in collaboration with NADRA. These activities were part of the Rural Women’s Network for Civic Leadership and Participation project, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The aim was to help young people understand the importance of legal identity documents and to encourage them to participate in civic life.

The campaign was held in four districts by trained focal persons from PODA Rural Women Leaders and members of the District Information Women Alliance (DIWA), including Ms. Shela in Peshawar, Ms. Khandana Naeem in Swabi (KP), Ms. Pamila Bhatti in Faisalabad and Ms. Sughra Bano in Sahiwal (Punjab)

Sessions took place in schools, colleges, vocational centre, and church with more than 200 participants. Guest speakers from NADRA explained the importance of documents like CNIC B-Forms and Birth Certificates. Students took part in creative and hands-on activities, such as designing posters to share their ideas about legal identity.
