Memberships and Affiliations:
PODA is a member of many like minded networks nationally and
internationally. Our current memberships include;
1. Insani
Huqooq Itehad (IHI)
a network of Islamabad / Rawalpindi based NGOs that meets monthly to
respond to emerging human rights and women rights violations in Pakistan
through peaceful protests, press conferences and other interventions.
2.
Elimination of Violence Against Women (EVAW) is a network of national
and international organizations based in Pakistan that advocates for a law
against domestic violence in Pakistan. EVAW meets on quarterly basis to make
policy and public awareness recommendations for combating violence against
women in Pakistan.
3.
Sustainable Agriculture Action Group (SAAG) is a network of Pakistani
organizations that promote sustainable agricultural practices in Pakistan.
The network meets on quarterly basis to respond to emerging agricultural
issues.
4.
Alliance Against Sexual Harassment (AASHA).
PODA is an active member
of Alliance Against Sexual Harassment (AASHA). As an alliance member PODA is
responsible for documenting cases of sexual harassment and violence against
women that our reported in national, regional and local Pakistani newspapers
in English, Urdu and local languages. The documented cases are forwarded to
another AASHA member organization Mehergarh for further follow-up. For
