Islamabad kids donate to help children in need!

Three classes of Schola Nova Islamabad have donated a total of Rs. 17,890 ($211) to Children Rights projects of PODA. Students of class 5th, 8th and 9th visited PODA Islamabad office in February 2011 and donated the money they have rasied from their Family and Fun Fair weekend activities. The children learnt about PODA after they saw a papier-machie product made by women artisans in a village in Chakwal. They invited PODA to share more about this activity and after learning how the project helps children and women in rural areas of Pakistan they asked how they can help. PODA team told the children they can help by donating their time and pocket money and by sending the needy children useful items or old used (washed) clothes. Sikandar Vincent from grade 9th and Ms. Rubina of grade 5th with her class gave the donations to PODA Director Ms. Sameena Nazir. The children are also planning to send more help to needy children in future.

Thank you Children of Schola Nova !!!
